How to use the VAT calculator
- 1Choose Add VAT (net → gross) or Remove VAT (gross → net).

- 3Read the net, VAT and gross breakdown, with the working under Show steps.
Net or gross?
Net is the price before VAT; gross is the price with VAT included. If a price already includes VAT, use Remove VAT to see how much of it is actually the net amount.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add VAT to a price?
Multiply the net amount by the rate: VAT = net × rate%, then gross = net + VAT. At 18%, a net of 100 becomes 18 VAT and 118 gross.
How do I remove VAT from a gross price?
Divide by 1 plus the rate: net = gross ÷ (1 + rate÷100). The VAT portion is gross − net. At 18%, a gross of 118 gives a net of 100 and 18 VAT.
What is the VAT rate in Georgia?
The standard VAT rate in Georgia is 18%, which is the default here. You can change the rate for any other country or a reduced rate.
